Getting more irregular, blaming Twitter

Well, it's not that nothing happened, in fact much too much has happened (no serious travelling though), but I haven't written about any of it. I do spend too much time on Twitter these days, where contact is more immediate and visible. Besides that, I like having the constraint of having to limit myself to 140 characters, since I'm prone to rambling on. But, yes, I should be here more often too, trying to improve my writing, and maybe -just maybe, not completely sure about it just yet- provide some in-depth insights into my incoherent mind :)

And for those who don't like too many words, here's a pretty pic to look at. Ain't life grand?

Well, here we are, 2009... (and a year older too, since my birthday wasn't long before NYE) Guess I'll just have to wait and see what the year brings, and luckily I already know one thing it won't... Should be travelling somewhat, taking pics (haven't done much the last couple of weeks, just got frustrated at less than perfect circumstances, or total and complete lack of time), and trying to do some useful things as well :)

One good thing it will bring, is that a pic/some pics of mine will be used for an album/dvd? cover, who knows, that might be my big break (or not, oh well). Guess I'll get back to work now, wishing you all the best in the new year!

Oh god, how I can't wait for the end of the year... Finally no more petty remarks, no more unfair treatment, no more trying to get back for undermining his position. It just goes to show how people can act when they feel threatened, just refusing to acknowledge the potential, and then complain they feel they're not being taken seriously. Really, what is he thinking? Why on earth should I? I've got more experience, know all the ins and outs of what I'm doing, and I'll outperform him in his job any day...

Gosh, I just realised, that after work today I'll be busy all the time until Sunday evening (late), and then I have to work on Monday morning at 8:30... Have to do laundry tonight, so I'll have dry clothes tomorrow morning, have to be in Utrecht at around 1pm, so I can be in Ermelo before 15:30, and after the Christmasparty from work I'll go straight to Utrecht, to do callcenter stuff until 4am (hey, it's for charity, and we all do crazy stuff from time to time). Then Saturday, with at least 3 different options for filling the day, finishing it off by going out. Sunday can start slowly, have to be at the callcenter again at 2pm, doing my stuff there until 10pm, before catching the train home. And next week I'll have to squeeze in some Christmas shopping, since the family will come to my place the 26th. *sigh* Good thing I like most things I've planned, otherwise it would be pretty difficult days to get through...

Gosh, it really feels as if time just flies by... Doing more stuff than should possibly fit in a week, and still feeling as if I'm forgetting/not doing this I really should. Haven't bought a christmas tree yet, and tomorrow morning is realistically my last option, and I really should, since the family is coming over to my place this year (when I'm supposed to do the grocery shopping I honestly don't know).

The good news is that I've gotten a mail from an old acquaintance, saying that he wants to use my pic(s?) for an upcoming cd release on his label, which is pretty cool... Maybe, just maybe, if the weather's good enough, I might be able to take some pics on Saturday (although I sincerely doubt it).

Oh well, enough rambling (without saying much) for now, will be back some other time!

And try to ignore the incompetence of others... I know I'm not perfect, I'm more than willing to admit that, but really, some of the stunts others pull are just too much. And if those things didn't have any impact on others it might not be as bad, but of course they do. They've had every opportunity to do it right, they've been warned more than enough times, and still they can't be bothered to do their jobs right.

Sometimes you just need to get away... Enjoy the scenery, the relative peace and quiet, and get your brains blown out by the strength of the wind on the beach. I did just that last Saturday, going to Schiermonnikoog on the best day possible. Took more pics than I first thought, so you might be running into them here for a while to come now (some were even half decent :) )

I'm getting a bit angry. Because of other people's lack of ability to plan anything, I keep getting more and more work dumped on me, and I get frowned upon when I subsequently don't finish the things I originally planned to do. From now on, I'll do my work first, anything extra will have to wait, I don't have 4 arms to juggle with. I'll answer the phone, plan appointments, and tell others who want anything else to fuck off. That should work just fine, and should also prevent me from having to work 40+ hours in a 4 day week. (I'm getting close already, getting to 13 yesterday alone).

Geez, it's been weeks since I got back from London, and I stil haven't completely unpacked my suitcase or done all the laundry. *sigh*
And now I'm trying to get some extra work done, preparing for 2 days off that I need to get to Newcastle and back. I must be crazy, doing all kinds of fun stuff like this... Oh well, I guess I'll always have the pics, to remember times when I could just sit on my lazy ass and do absolutely NOTHING

Geez, it's taken ages

Well, I guess, sometimes life just happens, and leaves no time to breathe. Sounds more dramatic than it is though, had a lot of fun things going on for the last couple of weeks, just haven't had the time to sit down and do absolutely nothing, or write, or journal books, or make release notes for that matter (good thing I have prenums and scraps of paper with details written on them, the stack just gets higher all the time of things I need to catch up on). Well, that's a lot of rambling about simply being busy, without pretty pics even. But, with a bit of luck, my newest toy (Samsung Omnia) will help me solve that bit, by making it quick, easy, and not at all complicated to post pics and posts on the go. We'll see how that works out. And yes, this is just one long text, without any white lines, but at least I'm capitalizing the first words of my sentences *grin* Until next time, I greet you!

Oh, wait, I see I haven't even given an outcome for the whole thing going on earlier. Well, it's going to be solved, and I'm not letting anyone or anything spoil my fun in my job anymore, no matter how hard people try.

I know not everyone is 'normal'. And I know I shouldn't let others get on my nerves. But a traintrip like yesterday is an experience best forgotten... The first bit I got stuck with a bunch of braindead bimbo's who had had a bit more to drink than they should have. This turned them into loud, obnoxious, even more stupid than they would be sober, and annoying creatures. I survived that. Second leg of the trip: A muttering drunk with (in all likelihood) some added mental disabilities, as well as physical problems, one of them being a miniscule bladder, causing him to clamber over his trolley and stumble towards the toilet at least 7 times during a one hour train trip. Thought I had survived that, and the bus trip would at least be uneventful. Wrong. A youngish, definitely alternative looking (no other word for that hat) senior citizen, lugging around several bags and half of a dead tree (also called a walking stick, according to him). It turned out he was into some alternative singing bowls therapy, and he left no opportunity unused to tell anyone within hearing distance about it. Now I know again why I like pics, and not necessarily people. Geez....

Or several firsts, since this isn't the first time I've tried to start blogging away. Not sure whether that's because I have too few or to many thoughts to post, not sure I want to know the answer to that either :)

Guess I'll be posting pics and random things that pop up in my head, and will see if anyone's interested.
